1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Close The Tab extension (“Extension”) processes your information. It supplements the useGulin Umbrella Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between the two, this policy prevails for the Extension.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Required Data

• UUID: A randomly generated identifier stored in the browser’s local extension storage.
• License key (if purchased): Stored locally and verified against our backend.

2.2 Automatically Collected Server Data

When your browser communicates with our backend for license verification, the web server may log:

• IP address
• Requested path
• Timestamp
• Other standard HTTP request information

2.3 No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, or profiling mechanisms in the Extension.

3. Cookies

The Extension does not set cookies. All settings and identifiers are stored in Chrome Extension storage.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share collected data with third parties, except:

• Paddle (payment processing) – see Paddle Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• License keys and associated UUIDs are kept indefinitely for verification purposes.
• Server logs are retained for a limited time for security and maintenance, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 16 years old (or the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such users.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., under GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. See the useGulin Umbrella Privacy Policy for details.
